FRSC Cites Monitoring the Highway and Managing the Traffic Flow During the Eid al-Fitr as the Reason for Deploying Hundreds of Patrol Vehicles and Ambulances
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has announced the deployment of 754 patrol vehicles, 143 ambulances, and additional resources to monitor highways and manage traffic flow during the Eid al-Fitr celebrations. This deployment, which will run from March 27 to April 2, 2025, is aimed at minimizing road traffic crashes, fatalities, and injuries during the festive period. According to FRSC Spokesperson Olusegun Ogungbemide, the patrol vehicles will be strategically positioned along critical routes to enforce traffic regulations, clear obstructions, and provide swift responses to emergencies. The initiative also includes 157 administrative vehicles, 48 tow trucks, and radar guns to monitor and curb speed violations.
