Hanks Anuku Cites Jealousy as the Reason Some of His Colleagues Engaged in Diabolical Practices Against His Shine

Veteran Nollywood actor Hanks Anuku has opened up about his struggles in the Nigerian movie industry, revealing that some of his colleagues engaged in diabolical practices due to jealousy. During a recent interview on the Nollywood Hardcore podcast, Anuku reflected on his experiences and interactions with fellow actors, stating that envy and blackmail were some of the challenges he faced.

According to Anuku, some individuals in the industry deliberately tried to bring him down because of his success. He described how certain actors, rather than supporting one another, resorted to dark and harmful practices in an attempt to sabotage their colleagues. He emphasized the importance of love and unity, urging people to embrace kindness instead of condemnation.

“In life, we must always keep space for falling down and standing up again, but in the industry, there are many staircases that were not well built. Even when you try to get up, someone is always out there trying to pull you down,” Anuku lamented. He further stated that despite facing blackmail, he remained strong because he believed in God’s plan for him.

The actor encouraged those harboring negative emotions towards others to seek deliverance, stating that human beings are meant to love and uplift one another rather than tear each other down. He questioned why people would try to destroy someone who had brought them joy, emphasizing that love should be the foundation of human relationships.

Anuku concluded by affirming that he was not defeated by the challenges he had faced, declaring that his journey was not over because God was not finished with him yet.
